Affordable, Local Loans and Support for Individuals and Businesses…
Lancashire Community Finance is a ‘not for profit’ Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) and a registered charity.
Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs) lend money to businesses, social enterprises and individuals who struggle to get finance from high street banks and loan companies.
Lancashire Community Finance operates throughout the historic county of Lancashire. We started out in 2005 as Preston Moneyline, serving the inner ward of Preston. Since then, we have grown our customer base and now have delivery offices across the county.
As well as offering personal loans, business loans, start up loans and home improvement loans to individuals and businesses in North, West and Central Lancashire at rates of interest considerably below those charged by doorstep and payday lenders, we also provide financial education and money management services.
In addition to our affordable loans service , Lancashire Community Finance works with local and regional organisations to ensure that all local residents have access to straightforward financial information and a complete range of financial services.
We are a Registered Society (formerly known as an Industrial and Provident Society) and we are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 659275). We are also registered with the information commissioner under the Data Protection Act.
LCF is assessed to be a strong CDFI after undergoing the CDFA Performance Framework for UK CDFIs Corporate Assessment, Change Matters 2, which is sponsored by RBS.
